Founders
Asad
Asad is a management consultant and a published author. He attained his Master’s in Engineering and Management with concentration in Technology Entrepreneurship. He is working closely with the community leaders and Imams in addressing challenges as it relates to spousal search, sustainable marriages, and building happy families & communities. He is also involved with other community based projects through Mishkah University.
Rumana
Rumana is a California native at heart, born in Los Angeles and now thriving in Northern Virginia. She holds a degree in Systems Engineering from George Mason University. What began as a natural inclination for connecting people has evolved into a meaningful pursuit, one she approaches with genuine intuition, care, and intention.
Known for her calm presence and thoughtful insight, Rumana has the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She is deeply committed to fostering meaningful relationships within the Muslim community and believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping two individuals build something together.
Outside of matchmaking, Rumana enjoys an active and well-balanced lifestyle, including biking and hiking, reading non-fiction, and planning her next adventure. She loves traveling with her husband, children, and family, whether exploring new destinations or simply enjoying a scenic ride. She brings a sense of curiosity and quiet joy into everything she does, and that same energy is reflected in the way she thoughtfully connects others.

Aasia currently resides in Dallas, TX with her family. She was raised on the East Coast and holds degrees in Mathematics and Education. With over 10 years of matchmaking experience, Aasia has successfully helped individuals find lifelong partners through marriage. Coaching clients with compassion is a valuable skill that she utilizes as a matchmaker. When she is not matchmaking, Aasia loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys staying active, and has a passion for traveling.
Kamila
Born in England to convert parents, Kamila spent the majority of her formative years immersed in diverse Muslim communities across the U.S. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her family.
With a decade of experience, Kamila is a dedicated matchmaker, driven by her commitment to helping others find their companions. Her passion has led to many successful matches.
Beyond her professional dedication, she enjoys hiking and traveling. She also loves to read in her free time and actively volunteers in her local community events.
Sharifa
Sharifa has been involved in her local Muslim community and Islamic School in various capacities since she was a child. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and an M.Ed in Education. Sharifa finds true pleasure in trying to make a difference in people's lives; especially when it comes to helping people unite in the sacred bond of marriage. She lives in Maryland, and loves going on long walks with her best friend and husband, and her two beautiful boys, alhamdulillah.
Alisa
Alisa is an Albuquerque native and a University of New Mexico alumna with a passion for human connection. Her journey from a second-generation Mexican household to the historic streets of Spain, where she embraced Islam thirteen years ago, has given her a rare gift for cross-cultural empathy. Now a devoted mother and expert matchmaker, Alisa leverages her background in Family Studies to help others navigate the beautiful journey of starting their own families.

Juwairiyyah is originally from the West Coast, where she was born in LA and raised in Seattle. She currently resides in Chicago with her husband and their cat. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Juwairiyyah values building relationships and is devoted to helping the Muslim community. She has served in various capacities from volunteering as a Sunday School teacher at the masjid to working with local Islamic organizations. Outside of Beyond Chai, Juwairiyyah works as a Senior Administrator for an Islamic non-profit educational organization. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, eating good food, and spending time with her family and friends.
Anbareen
Anbareen is from the Midwest and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two beautiful children. She has a B.S. in Education and has worked in both public and Islamic schools. She also worked at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest Muslim organization in North America. Anbareen enjoys being part of the Muslim Community and is currently teaching in Sunday School. The Muslims community is very important to her because she feels it is the foundation for building a great Muslim family. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, going on walks, planning parties and spending time with family and friends.
Umarah
Umarah was born and raised in the Middle East and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. She now resides in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.
In her role in Operations, Umarah supports the team by helping ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently. She is passionate about serving the Muslim community and contributing to meaningful, long-term connections.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, doodling, reading, and volunteering at her local mosque.

Maliha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently residing in Maryland. She was raised in the US and has traveled over most of the country and to many places abroad. Maliha is an active member in her community, she provides counseling/coaching to adolescents, adults, couples and families. She believes American Muslims struggle with finding their identity within their families and friends and feels compelled to support them through their journey of finding themselves.
Saima
A Canadian Pakistani currently living in the United States. Saima completed her Bachelor's in Psychology and then her Master's of Business Administration in 2000. After working in the corporate world for some years Saima realized her true calling was to help people and make a difference in their lives. This paired with her other passion for fashion and style, Saima completed her certification as an Image Consultant in 2008. Since then Saima has dedicated her life to helping people look, feel, be and achieve their best. She is professional and truly cares about making a positive impact in her clients lives.
